hello there!
I'm Chloe, a Chicago-based scientific artist and illustrator

a little about me...
As a trained scientific illustrator, you’ll see both creativity and exploration as common themes throughout my work - I like to combine realistic, observational studies and a high-level of detail, with experimental color, composition, and medium.
I’m drawn to biological subjects of all sorts, and love finding ways to bring out their beauty. Most of these subjects we may see in our everyday-lives, but they have more to show and teach with the right presentation.
I work typically in paint or colored pencils, but also enjoy experimenting with new mediums (graphite, digital, ink, 2D and 3D animation, sculpture - you name it and I’ll try it!). I’m currently working on personal pieces, but am always open to commissions and collaborations. Some previous projects I’ve worked on include:
-
Developed branding for a local small business bakery
-
Created ~20 illustrations for a pediatric physical therapy department at the Blank Children's Hospital
-
Various commissioned watercolor and ink pieces
